@Del

There are 8 different CD's available from McDonald's at various times. 1 fairy and 1 dragon will be available each week. When you install another character it will be active in the launch bar.

Also, the Fairies and Dragons are seperated into 2 applications.

Sorry, that should've read Stephan, not Stephen. D'oh!

Now to my question.

My daughter wants to play Fairies rather than Dragons but the bar with 4 eggs on only seems to have a dragon available.

Is this simply a case of getting different CDs from McD's?

Stephen, I don't think you can just copy the files from the disc as it's an actual installer.

I had the alert problem on OS X when I tried to install it whilst logged in to my daughter's user area but found that running the installer whilst logged into my administrator account allowed it to install properly.

The application then resides in the Applications folder, titled "McDonalds Dragons" so that, when my daughter is logged in to her user area, she can launch the app. the same way she does with any other app. & is now playing away quite happily.

Hope this helps.

hello,
my kids brought me a "Fairies" and a "Dragons" CD-ROM back from their meal at Mc.
I am trying to make it work under Mac OS X 10.4 under their account which of course is restricted under "Parental Control".
It fails after the intro. This is highly frustrating for me and for my kids.

What I did so far:
I copied the "Fairies" and and the "Dragons" application (the only icon visible on CD) from CD to the Applications folder.
In the Accounts prefpane, I "turned on" these two apps for my kids account. I also checked "Allow supporting programs" - this helped at least to start the games, but not past the intro...

My daughter is 6 and she found games not so interesting.
I will explore your web above a little. But it shouldn't be so, daughetr should be able to run CD herself.

@Marlene

How is it not working? What type of computer are you trying to install them on? What is the error you are seeing?

I would be more then glad to help resolve the issues for you.

@Hope

To get around the permission error you need to install the application using an administrator account.
Let me know if you still have problems.

@Tammy

Hey Tammy. Thanks for letting us know about the problem you are having. We actually encountered this bug a couple of weeks ago after a Vista update. The application was running on this machine perfectly since November until the update happened.

We are looking into and will hopefully have a update shortly.
