I agree the TinkerProxy stuff is a little awkward. But that is the only way to get Ardunio talking to Flash as it doesn&#039;t support a Serial Connection. If you use something like Processing you don&#039;t need to have the proxy because it&#039;s already built in.

I did some UDP communication a long time ago. You could probably wrap your Flash application in something like Zinc or mProjector to get that functionality.

I haven&#039;t done any OSC though. There are a few different ways to do this. There is Flosc which is a server that you can run to communicate to Flash, or you might be able to wire something up with Max/MSP.</description>

Thanks for the presentation at FlashPitt08! That&#039;s the kind of stuff I&#039;m working on at work now. I didn&#039;t know exactly the Arduino boards did; it has some promise for projects that don&#039;t have an embedded CPU. (The Tinker proxy, BTW, is a bit awkward.)

Have you ever gotten flash to interface with UPS ports, or more specifically, OSC command signals?</description>
